1st Gerrard Winstanley Festival

We played last Saturday at the 1st Gerrard Winstanley festival at the Old Pear Tree in Wigan.  The audience was lively, with some clearly very refreshed after a long day.  Still, most of them seemed to listen to our set, blighted though it was by a faulty microphone, including our version of the Leon Rosselson song The World turned Upside Down, which is loosely based on the writings of Gerrard Winstanley.

There seemed to be quite a range of acts, and the event was to raise money for some kind of memorial for Gerrard Winstanley.

Woody Guthrie Folk Club

We've decided to do another floor spot on 26 May at the excellent Woody Guthrie Folk Club, which meets at the Ship & Mitre, Dale Street. Liverpool.  Tickets via their website.

We were quite happy with our support spot at the Socialist Singers concert in St Brides Church, and in fact the whole evening was interesting and varied.
